My grandmother has studied textile design in the 1930s in Hamburg. I’ve found a lot of her drawings and sketches inside an old box in her house. Ten years ago my grandmother and I have photographed and archived her works. At that time I’ve started with the series “Portrait als meine Oma”. Now, I’m remaking her work through copying, transforming and by doing that I’m making it my own. In this manner I do not only learn a lot about her but also about myself.
